Discounts tied to how you pay
Transfer, instalments and account money each needed their own price, and nothing in the platform does that natively.
Payment-aware promotions, coupon rules the platform does not cover, a checkout with its obstacles removed and a new identity at every collection, for an Argentine fashion brand that sells a big share of its year in a few days.
Every rule the business needed was a rule the store could not express.
Buryak is an Argentine clothing brand with its own online store. They did not need a new store: they had one, and it was selling. They needed it to stop fighting the business. E-commerce in Argentina has rules no platform solves out of the box: promotions that depend on the payment method, coupons with specific conditions, bank transfers living alongside Mercado Pago and instalments, and mass traffic events like Hot Sale that concentrate an enormous share of annual revenue into a few days.
Transfer, instalments and account money each needed their own price, and nothing in the platform does that natively.
Campaigns that apply to part of the catalog and not the rest, or only with certain payment methods.
During Hot Sale the store takes weeks of traffic in hours. Going down there is not an inconvenience, it is lost revenue.
Custom development where the platform stopped, and a pass over the funnel removing what was quietly costing sales.
A plugin of our own that applies a different discount depending on how the customer pays, with configurable percentages, a scheduled validity window, and product or category exclusions. Bank transfer, Mercado Pago balance and each instalment plan carry their own rate and their own checkout label.
Rules restricting coupons to certain payment methods, and automatic exclusion of clearance categories so a campaign cannot quietly eat the margin.
We found and fixed concrete obstacles in the purchase flow: a coupon field that was not visible, a view-cart button hidden by a style conflict, a dropdown covered by the header and untranslated checkout copy.
Every collection the brand launches, the store changes with it: typefaces, palette, section titles, the category cards on the home and in the mega menu, and the shop archive itself. Each season is the same system dressed differently, which is why it ships in days.
Only what this project actually runs on.
Launching a promotion by payment method, scheduling it with a start and end date and leaving products out of it is a task of minutes in the panel today, not a development request. Behind each adjustment there was a commercial decision: protect the margin in clearance, push the payment methods with the better financial cost, and take everything else out of the way of a purchase already decided. The same store has since carried several collections, each with its own typography, palette and categories, on one system, with no rebuild per season.
