Loading the scene
A live site needs updates, backups and someone watching it. We do that monthly, on a fixed plan with a named contact and a response time, and we fix the small things before they become the expensive thing.
Core, theme and plugins kept current, tested on staging first when the change is the kind that can take a page down with it.
Daily and offsite, and restored on purpose at least once, because a backup nobody has tested is a hope, not a plan.
Hardening, scanning and the boring hygiene that keeps a site off the list. We have cleaned up after the alternative and would rather not.
Five steps, and the first month is the one that does the catching up.
A shop down is lost sales; a clinic down is lost trust.

Three shapes most plans take. The number depends on the site, so we quote after looking at it, never before.

Figures are estimates in USD, and a starting point, not a quote. What moves them is the scope: how much there is, how unusual it is, and how much of it already exists. We quote a fixed number after the first call.
The questions that come up on almost every first call.
It depends on what the site is and what it runs on. A brochure site on WordPress is not a store taking orders all day. We look first, then quote a fixed monthly number with what is included written down.
Updates to core, theme and plugins; offsite backups that have been restore-tested; security hardening and scanning; uptime monitoring; and a monthly report. The larger plans add an allowance of hours for the changes you were going to ask for anyway.
Yes, and most of this work is exactly that. The first month is an audit and a catch-up: we find what is already broken before promising to keep anything running.
No, and we will say so plainly. We work on your hosting, or help you move if it is the thing holding the site back. Keeping the two separate means you are never locked in by your own invoice.
Monitoring tells us before it tells you. On the custom plan that is 24/7 with an escalation path; on the others it is within one business day, which is the honest number.
A rolling monthly agreement, cancelable with a month's notice. Backups, access and documentation stay yours, set up so another team could pick it up.
Then you paid for updates that did not turn into an outage, backups you did not need and a site that stayed fast. That is what the service is. The month you do need it, it pays for the year.
